[ARCHIVED] Penn View Heights repaving to start on November 14th

Guys paving road with large truck

Please take notice that Penn View Drive, Hessian Drive, Pierson Drive, Jamieson Drive, Lewis Brook Road, Moorhead Drive, and Murphy Drive are scheduled to be resurfaced as part of Hopewell Township’s annual Road Maintenance Program. Work is scheduled to begin on or about November 14, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The work is expected to be completed by November 26th.

Resurfacing will be accomplished by first removing 2” of the existing pavement surface by milling with a milling machine.  Driving on milled surfaces is permitted.  Very minor delays of 1-2 minutes should be anticipated.   Please follow contractor’s directions and all traffic control devices during this work.  Use caution around manholes, water valves, ADA ramps, and driveway entrances.

After milling, distressed areas of the base pavement will be repaired.  These repairs will be made in isolated areas.  Vehicular access is unlimited during this work.  Minor delays of 5 minutes should be anticipated.  Please follow contractor’s direction and all traffic control devices during this work.

This will be followed by the placement of a new 2” thick layer of hot mix asphalt surface course pavement. During this process there may be delays of up to 10 minutes in accessing driveways. Contractor personnel on-site will help direct you during these restrictions.  Refrain from walking pets on newly placed pavement for at least 24 hours.

Roads will be open to emergency vehicles, school buses, garbage trucks, mail vehicles, and local traffic at all times.

Please use caution on milled pavement as there may be loose gravel and irregularities in the surface and bicycle riding, walking, and running will be challenging.

Please note, varying pavement conditions, weather and other unforeseen events could delay the schedule.

The Township and Top Line Construction Corp., thank you in advance for your cooperation during these much-needed improvements.
