[ARCHIVED] National DEA Take Back Day is on October 26th

DEA Take back day Oct 26 from 10am to 2pm. Drop off your unwanted drugs

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, communities nationwide will participate in National DEA Take Back Day, a vital initiative aimed at combating substance misuse and abuse and promoting public health. This event highlights the safe, convenient way residents can dispose of unused or expired medications, preventing them from falling into the wrong hands and protecting our environment.

The Hopewell Township Police Department is proud to participate in this important event. Residents can use the designated drop box at the police department to safely dispose of their medications. This is a great opportunity to clean out medicine cabinets and ensure that potentially dangerous substances are disposed of responsibly.

Please note that the drop-off service is for medications only; no sharps, needles, or leaky bottles will be accepted. The process is completely anonymous, and no questions will be asked. It's a simple step that can make a significant impact in the fight against drug misuse in our community.

Mark your calendars and take action on National DEA Take Back Day. Together, we can help create a safer, healthier environment for everyone in Hopewell Township. For more information about the event or the disposal process, please contact the Hopewell Township Police Department.
