Mental health can impact your health behaviors. Poor mental health and stress management can lead to poor health behaviors such as smoking, unhealthy dieting, and reducing physical activity. The Hopewell Township Health Department is reminding residents that stress levels can be managed by maintaining an adequate sleep schedule, spending time in nature, exercising and connecting regularly with family and friends.
The Health Department also offers free blood pressure screenings. Contact the Public Health Nurse at 609-537-0238.
For more information check out these resources from the American Health Association for other ways to improve your stress levels.
