The NJ Dept of Health (NJDOH) has issued a press release detailing specifics about the ongoing situation, linked here: https://www.nj.gov/health/news/2025/approved/20250328c.shtml
Currently, there are no confirmed cases of measles in Hopewell Township. We are investigating reports of measles exposure in residents that were identified to be in the locations and at the times specified in the press release. We urge residents to contact their healthcare provider immediately if you notice symptoms of measles and to isolate yourself from others. Please remember to call your healthcare provider’s office or the emergency room first before arriving at any facility so that necessary infection prevention precautions can be taken to protect other patients and staff.
It is important for everyone to be aware of their vaccine status for measles. It is normally administered as the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine. If you do not have your vaccine records, please reach out to your personal medical provider. The NJDOH recommends vaccination as the best way to prevent measles.
