The Hopewell Township Recreation Department offers a wide variety of activities year-round for the enjoyment of the greater Hopewell Valley:

  • Community and family trips
  • Programs for adults, seniors, youth, and teens
  • Summer camps
  • and more

We aim to make everyone’s life a little more fun!

Our goal is to get the community connected to enrich the lives of residents of every age through recreation. We always prioritize health and safety. We continue to offer all the core programs that you have come to expect and enjoy, and are excited to have new and exciting opportunities for all coming soon. We offer something for everyone! Keep an eye on our Activities and Programs page to see what’s coming up. Join our mailing list to receive notifications when new recreation programs are offered.

Throughout the year Senior Services offers fitness and health programs, art, games, and more. In the winter you can take holiday-themed trips to shows and displays for adults and seniors, play indoor sports and clinics for kids of all ages, decorate your home for the holidays for our home decorating contest, and attend the Holiday Lighting. In the spring we start moving outside. Kids can enjoy sports, art, and nature. With the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association, we host a Memorial Day observance. And bus trips continue, to places like theaters and museums. Summer is a time for fun camps for kids, preschool through teen. There’s a Soap Box Derby, fireworks and parades for the holidays, and concerts and movies in the park. And finally, in the fall you can join us for trips, Halloween-themed events, and the Senior Picnic.

We are always looking to expand our offerings- please take a few minutes to complete our Recreation Survey and share your thoughts!
