About the Fire District
Hopewell Township Fire District No. 1 is an autonomous entity responsible for the prevention and extinguishment of fires and the regulation of fire hazards within the geographic boundaries of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. The Fire District is funded through a fire tax and governed by a five member Board of Fire Commissioners.
Hopewell Township Fire District #1 is aware of a situation which occurred recently involving a number of Hopewell Township Employees. The Hopewell Township Fire District is vehemently against any acts, statement, or any other form of speech which ridicule, malign, disparage, or otherwise express bias of age, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, national or ethnic origin, or disability.
The Hopewell Township Fire District is currently conducting an investigation into what if any involvement any employee or person associated with the Fire District may have had regarding such discrimination and will take any appropriate action.
FIRE COMMISSONER VACANCY – APPOINTMENT
HOPEWELL TWP. FIRE DISTRICT NO.1 will be accepting letters of intent and resumes for applicants to fill the vacant Commissioners position. Applicant must be a resident of Hopewell Township, Mercer County. Term will run until December 7, 2021. Letters and resumes can be submitted in person at 201 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd Titusville, NJ 08560 or via US Mail post marked no later than July 22, 2021 or via email to Chief Matthew Martin, firstname.lastname@example.org. All documents are due no later than 4pm on Thursday July 22, 2021.
