Hopewell Township Fire District No. 1 is an autonomous entity responsible for the prevention and extinguishment of fires and the regulation of fire hazards within the geographic boundaries of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. The Fire District is funded through a fire tax and governed by a five member Board of Fire Commissioners.

Hopewell Township Fire District #1 Special Meeting Notice PLEASE BE ADVISED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Hopewell Township Fire District #1, County of Mercer shall hold a special meeting at their regularly scheduled meeting on November 9, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building at 201 Washington Crossing Pennington Road, Titusville, NJ 08560. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a public hearing on a resolution to raise funds to purchase a vehicle(s) for fire inspections estimated at $60,000. The meeting will be held both in person and virtually on Zoom and you must register in advance.

Services
Hopewell Township Fire District No. 1 also provides, through shared services agreements, fire inspection services to Hopewell and Pennington Boroughs. The uniformed staff of the Hopewell Valley Bureau of Fire Safety perform all commercial fire safety inspections, and all pre-sale residential inspections for Hopewell Township, Hopewell Borough, and Pennington Borough.
