Probationary Police Officer

The Hopewell Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer.  The Department is currently seeking to establish an eligibility list for current and future vacancies within our agency.

The Hopewell Township Police Department is a proactive police agency, with members dedicated to fulfilling the community’s expectations of professional and community oriented police services.

Interested parties must possess a police training certificate issued by the New Jersey Police Training Commission (full time regular officer or SLEO II) or be enrolled in a State of New Jersey police academy as an alternate route certification candidate.

Interested parties must be a citizen of the U.S., a resident of the State of New Jersey and be between the ages of 18-35 at the time of appointment. Interested parties must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well and possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. Interested parties must be of good moral character, sound body, and good health. Interested parties must also possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Interested candidates will be updated and contacted through this website as the process commences and moves forward. Applications will be accepted beginning on June 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022.
