National Guard Competition Event 

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017 the NJ National Guard will be conducting a competition involving their personnel along the Delaware River.

Helicopters will be used to drop personnel off on the Pennsylvania side of Washington Crossing Park. Participants will then travel by inflatable boat across the river. Participants will then run south along the canal path.

The participants will then turn around and complete this same course in reverse.

This event is scheduled to take place between 7 AM and 12 PM.  

 

Road Construction Announcement

On or about Monday, April 10, 2017 Mercer County D.O.T. will be milling and paving Carter Road (CH 569) between Pennington Rocky Hill Road (Mt. Rose intersection) and Princeton Avenue in Hopewell Borough.

Work will occur Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. The road will be closed to through traffic during these hours. Full access will be permitted during non-working hours.

Motorists will be directed to use East Broad Street/Hopewell-Rocky Hill Road (CH 518), Province Line Road, and Cherry Valley Road.

This work is anticipated to take approximately 20 working days.

 

Bridge Reconstruction Notice

On or about Monday, December 5, 2016 the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will start the rehabilitation of the two bridges on River Drive, one over Fiddlers Creek, and one over Steele Run, which have been closed for over three years.

Sections of River Drive, near these two bridges, will remain closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration of the project.

Penn East Pipeline

PennEast Pipeline Company LLC has been accepted by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for Pre-Filing (Docket number of PF15-1-000).  The Federal review process of this project has, therefore, been formally started.  There are options through FERC by which one may make comment on the proposed pipeline and be kept updated by receiving copies of documents filed by PennEast and comments made by others.    To do so one must register with FERC online at http://www.ferc.gov/docs-filing/eregistration.asp

There are other options available through the FERC process such as becoming an Intervener and the details of how to exercise such options are detailed by FERC on its website http://www.ferc.gov .  

The information on this webpage is information which 1) has been produced by Hopewell Township, 2) is information received through the FERC subscription process (only formal FERC comments with regard to the PennEast documents; not all public comment documents filed with FERC)  or 3) information produced and transmitted to Hopewell Township by the PennEast Pipeline Company LLC.
