A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for parts of northern NJ from midnight tonight through 11 AM Saturday. Winds will be strong with gusts possible from 30 to 50 mph. Temperatures are forecast to drop to single digits in northern NJ. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 PM today to 6 AM Saturday for the rest of the state, also with low temperatures, high winds and gusts up to 50 mph.
Risk of frostbite and hypothermia from being outdoors are elevated by low temperatures and high winds. Sustained winds from 10-25 mph statewide could lead to difficult travel conditions especially in high profile vehicles. Scattered trees and power line damage is also possible.
