Dublin Road Bridge Replacement Project   July 11, 2016 

Dublin Road is undergoing a bridge replacement project. The bridge is located just north of Washington Crossing Pennington Road.

Dublin Road at the construction site will remain closed to all traffic on a 24/7 basis until the completion of the project.

Mercer County DOT anticipates that this work will take approximately ninety (90) working days to complete, weather permitting.

During construction, motorists will be directed to use Pennington-Titusville Road, Scotch Road and Washington Crossing-Pennington Road.

 

Milling and paving work scheduled for Bear Tavern Road

 On or about Monday, June 27, 2016, Mercer County D.O.T. will commence milling resurfacing work on Bear Tavern Road (CR 579) from Maddock Road to Church Road in Hopewell Township.

 Work will be performed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 Mercer County proposes to complete the milling and resurfacing of Bear Tavern Road as follows:

 Phase One: Half width construction from Maddock Road to Washington Crossing Road. Traffic would be maintained in the northbound direction. Southbound traffic would be detoured with motorists directed to use Washington Crossing Road to Jacobs Creek Road.

 Phase Two: Half width construction from Washington Crossing Road to Church Road. Again, traffic would be maintained in the northbound direction. Southbound traffic would be detoured with motorists directed to use Pennington-Harbourton Road, Scotch Road and Washington Crossing Road.

 Full, unrestricted access will be permitted during non-working hours.

 Mercer County anticipates this work will take approximately fifteen (15) working days, weather permitting.

 

Road Construction Notice

Beginning on or about Monday, May 2, 2016, Mercer County DOT will be rehabilitating the stone arch of the Wargo Road Bridge located approximately ½ mile north of Titusmill Road.

This will require a full closure of Wargo Road on a 24/7 basis.

The work is anticipated to last approximately 90 days.

The Affordable Housing Committee of Hopewell Township is pleased to provide the following information to help Township residents better understand the mandates of the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH). Who qualifies for Affordable Housing in Hopewell Township:
Affordable housing candidates for Hopewell Township must qualify within the limits set by the Council on Affordable Housing. These candidates are comprised of households earning 80, 50 and 30 percent of the median income level for our region. These residents must have proof of income. Residents with disabilities and seniors requiring assisted living services also qualify and housing specific to their needs counts towards the Townships Affordable Housing numbers. COAH mandates a certain percentage of housing developed under a Fair Share Plan provide for family rental units.

Who is a typical Affordable Housing resident in Hopewell Township:
Typical examples of individuals or families in need of low or moderate housing are single mothers, health care support staff, young teachers, teacher’s aides, store clerks, administrative assistants, library assistants, retirees, and emergency services personnel including police, fire, and emergency medical technicians.
