Road Construction Notice

Beginning on or about Monday, May 2, 2016, Mercer County DOT will be rehabilitating the stone arch of the Wargo Road Bridge located approximately ½ mile north of Titusmill Road.

This will require a full closure of Wargo Road on a 24/7 basis.

The work is anticipated to last approximately 90 days.

During construction, a detour will be posted directing motorists to use Pennington-Rocky Hill Road, Darrow Drive, Westcott Boulevard and Bradford Lane.

 

Road Construction Notice

 

Beginning on or about Thursday, April 28, 2016, Mercer County DOT will be milling and resurfacing Lambertville-Hopewell Road (CR 518) from Harbourton-Rocktown Road west to the County Line in Hopewell Township.
Mercer County anticipates this work to take approximately ten (10) working days to complete, weather permitting.
Work will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

During construction, eastbound traffic will be maintained.

During construction, westbound traffic on Lambertville Hopewell Road will be directed to turn right onto Harbourton-Rocktown Road, left onto Rock Road and left onto Harbourton-Mt. Airy Road back to Lambertville-Hopewell Road.

 

 

 

Ongoing Phone Scams

The Hopewell Township Police Department has received multiple calls from Hopewell Valley residents regarding a phone scam. Residents report that a person identifies himself as being with the U.S. Treasury and advises the resident that they have failed to respond to a magistrate or a grand jury notice. Some messages threaten arrest or fines.

Residents are urged not to give out any personal information if they actually speak with the caller. Residents are also urged not to call the phone number provided if a message was left for them asking for a return call.

You may report an incident to the IRS at 1-800-366-4484 or send an email to phishing@irs.gov (Subject: “IRS Phone Scam”) describing the phone call you received.

The department of Administration provides:

  • Management of the Township organization

  • Support for the Township Committee and other boards, committees and commissions

  • Project management

  • Personnel and Risk Management

  • Public Relations and Public Information

The Township Administrator position is established by ordinance to carry out the above functions of the department, review, recommend and carry out the policies and programs authorized by the Committee. The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Township and is appointed by the Township Committee. All departments report to the Township Administrator.
