The Hopewell Valley EOC (Emergency Operations Center) will be deactivated as of 2:00 P.M.

Municipal, County, and State crews continue to conduct snow removal operations and will maintain operations to ensure all roadways are clear. There are no road closures in the Hopewell Valley area at this time.

Hopewell Township Municipal Offices will be open on Wednesday January 28, 2015.

Hopewell Valley Office of Emergency Management- Advisory



The Hopewell Valley EOC remains open and staffed. The current forecast calls for far less snow totals in our region then originally estimated. Light snow is expected to continue during the morning and is expected to taper off around noon.

Hopewell Township offices are closed on Tuesday January 27, 2015. All State and County offices are also closed. There are no roads closed in Hopewell Valley at this time.

The Statewide travel ban has been lifted. Motorists are urged to drive with caution.

Roadways are in good condition, the valley DPW’s, Mercer County DOT, and State DOT are making good progress on snow removal.

There are no reported power outages at this time.

 JCP&L customers without power should call 1-888-544-4877 to report their power outage or click the “Report Outage” link on https://www.firstenergycorp.com/jersey_central_power_light.html.

PSE&G customers with power outages or downed wires should call PSE&G’s 800-436-7734. Customers with a handheld device, or who are at an alternate location with power, can also report power outages and view the status of their outage by logging in to My Account on www.pseg.com, PSE&G’s mobile-friendly website. Matters of extreme emergency will be posted immediately using Code Red alerts. The department of Administration provides:

  • Management of the Township organization

  • Support for the Township Committee and other boards, committees and commissions

  • Project management

  • Personnel and Risk Management

  • Public Relations and Public Information

The Township Administrator position is established by ordinance to carry out the above functions of the department, review, recommend and carry out the policies and programs authorized by the Committee. The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Township and is appointed by the Township Committee. All departments report to the Township Administrator.
