Milling and Resurfacing of Pennington-Hopewell Road

On or about Tuesday April 21, 2015, Mercer County DOT will begin a milling and resurfacing project along Pennington-Hopewell Road (County Route 654) between Marshall’s Corner-Woodsville Road and  Moores Mill-Mount Rose Road.

During construction, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM on weekdays, eastbound traffic along Pennington-Hopewell Road will be closed to through traffic. Motorists will be directed to Route 31 North and then right onto Lambertville-Hopewell Road (County Route 518) back to Pennington-Hopewell Road.

Westbound traffic along Pennington-Hopewell Road will remain open to traffic.

This project is scheduled to last at least two weeks.  

 

Wilfred Avenue Construction Work

Wilfred Avenue is closed to through traffic while under construction but passable at all times to emergency services, school buses, garbage trucks, residents and USPS. 

 

Road Closure Announcement         Pennington Titusville Road     

The Mercer County Department of Transportation began work on Monday February 23, 2015 replacing the Pennington-Titusville Road Bridge which crosses over Jacobs Creek.

Pennington-Titusville Road between Scotch Road and Bear Tavern Road will be closed to traffic at the bridge during this construction period which is scheduled to last six months.

The eastbound detour route will be Bear Tavern Road S/B to Washington Crossing Pennington Road E/B to Scotch Road N/B.

The westbound detour will be Scotch Road S/B to Washington Crossing Pennington Road W/B to Bear Tavern Road N/B.

Motorists should plan alternate routes during this construction period.

The department of Administration provides:

  • Management of the Township organization

  • Support for the Township Committee and other boards, committees and commissions

  • Project management

  • Personnel and Risk Management

  • Public Relations and Public Information

The Township Administrator position is established by ordinance to carry out the above functions of the department, review, recommend and carry out the policies and programs authorized by the Committee. The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Township and is appointed by the Township Committee. All departments report to the Township Administrator.
