Boil Water Advisory Update for Washington Crossing Estates

 

The Township of Hopewell is lifting the Boil Water Advisory as of today, February 9, 2016. 

The advisory was issued on February 5, 2016 as a precautionary measure due to a line break. 

A laboratory analysis indicates the water is satisfactory for applicable New Jersey Safe Drinking Water Act standards.

 

 

Phone Scam    January 29, 2016

The Hopewell Township Police Department has received multiple calls today from Hopewell Valley residents regarding a phone scam. Residents report that a person identifies himself as being with the U.S. Treasury and advises the resident that they have failed to respond to a magistrate or a grand jury notice. Some messages threaten arrest or fines.

Residents are urged not to give out any personal information if they actually speak with the caller. Residents are also urged not to call the phone number provided if a message was left for them asking for a return call.

You may report an incident to the IRS at 1-800-366-4484 or send an email to phishing@irs.gov (Subject: “IRS Phone Scam”) describing the phone call you received.

The department of Administration provides:

  • Management of the Township organization

  • Support for the Township Committee and other boards, committees and commissions

  • Project management

  • Personnel and Risk Management

  • Public Relations and Public Information

The Township Administrator position is established by ordinance to carry out the above functions of the department, review, recommend and carry out the policies and programs authorized by the Committee. The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for the Township and is appointed by the Township Committee. All departments report to the Township Administrator.

Currently the Department of Administration is comprised of five staff members that are responsible for:
